David Clavens – Autumn (footbag)

The sport I was passionate about before bike tricks was footbag, which is just what it’s called when you take hacky sack really seriously.  Anyways, one of very best players and a friend of mine is David “The Cleaver” Clavens.  Everyone saw him grow up from a little 14 year old kid on the footbag forum 7 years ago, he became one of the best early on then suffered a ‘broken back’ from footbag and has now come back from it all to dominate.

He put out this video and I know that it will all seem like tangled leg jibberish to the uninitiated but I assure you this is some of the craziest stuff that’s ever been hit and he does it all with unbelievable ease.  Anyways, check it out, it’s pretty crazy!

How in the world did he break his back from footbagging?!

    • Tom Mosher says:

I think it was caused by repetitive stress and unsupportive footwear, not sure of the exact injury but it required lots of treatment and a back brace for nearly a year. Serious stuff! 😉

This video lines up nearly perfectly to Nero’s remix of The Recluse…. just saying. Looks like he’s dancing.

    Crazy stuff though
