Plate and Screws Removed

Well it’s done with finally!  I’m super woozy and drowsy from the pain pills they have me on but at least the shit is out of my shoulder finally!

Gonna take a few days off from everything to let my body recover before I jump back into any YNOT stuff.

At least this crucial step towards being healed is done with!

Oh and in case you don’t know how I got injured it was from this video:

At 3:10 in the video I go for a wallride down some steps that I’d always been tantalized by.  I don’t know exactly what happened but I wound up getting pitched upside down landing fully on my shoulder/head.  My friends tried to convince me nothing was wrong but I could feel that a bone that used to be neatly tucked into my shoulder was now no longer in it’s ‘home’.  In agony I made my way to the nearest hospital/ER and that’s when I found out I had separated my shoulder.  They said the options were to just leave it and be permanently deformed OR have the surgery to put a plate in that would hold the bone in place so it could heal properly.  I elected to have the surgery (free in Canada, of course) and almost exactly a year ago they put in the plate and 4 screws.  It *sucked* at first but as months passed I began to be able to slowly do more and more tricks, though I’d always often feel twinges of pain from the screwed together shoulder.

Anyways, a year passed and I finally got to have my second surgery to take the hardware out.  It’s been killing me holding back for the sake of my shoulder, the edits I put out were so soft but I kinda don’t care because I was just doing what my shoulder would let me.  The plan is to now let it heal properly and start going heavy on beefing myself up, I need armor!

Gonna go relax and feel gross on percocet and tend to my arts and crafts. 🙂
