Action Shots by Swoo!

Had a fun riding session with Jackson, Swoo and Calle.  Jackson and I ran into a blob of bmxicans at the first school we went to ride and we all rode together for a bit.  I had ridden with a few of them before so we got to skip the awkward first part of interacting.   We were all cheering eachother on and they were flipping out that we could hit anything on our weird bikes, let alone stuff that some of them couldn’t do.  That always changes their tone!

Swoo took out his camera and snapped some action shots after we parted ways with the bmx guys.  I always like it when we wind up with something tangible after a session.  It’s one thing to say we had fun but pictures and videos always do such a better job.  We were filming a bit too,  I’m trying to get back on filming a lot!

We sessioned this tree bump thing for a little bit.  It really doesn’t show up in pictures but it’s actually a pretty fun ramp on all sides of the tree.  We were all boosting from the bump to the street and Swoo caught this great shot of me gapping it:

All winter I drilled tire slides in the parking garage so I’ve been working on taking them to the streets.  I got this tire slide over the ledge a few times and then said the stupid famous last words “one more try” and slid it perfectly but it kicked out too much and I landed on my shin/knee.  This shot is the one I fell on:

Note Calle in the background rollerblade filming!  He was great for suggesting spots to check out!

Here’s what my leg looked like after landing on it, yum!

Gonna be some sweet scabs!!

Jackson was ripping hard and doing really well until his pedal exploded in half so Swoo wasn’t able to get any shots of him.  He’ll get more coverage soon, he’s so good!

I tried to take a shot of Swoo doing the same gap but I didn’t do as good a job as him:

Other than this one all action shots by Sungwoo “Swoo” Kim, thanks man!
